A Study on the Analysis of Railway Crimes and the Prevention Measures of Railway Crimes
With an average of about 12 million people using railways every day, railways have become an indispensable transportation infrastructure for people's lives. However, despite the continuous increase in railroad crimes, the number of railway police officers directly responding to railroad crimes is still insufficient, and they are not adequately prepared for new types of railroad security threats. Therefore, in order to take appropriate measures to prevent railroad crime, a strategic approach to railroad security based on crime analysis is required to identify various characteristics of railroad crime and respond accordingly. To this end, we propose railroad crime prevention measures that can predict the demand for railroad crime and respond to it efficiently, categorized into short-, medium-, and long-term.
