ANALYTICAL EVALUATION OF INTEGRATING MULTIMEDIA RESOURCES IN JORDANIAN SOCIAL STUDY TEXTBOOKS
This quantitative study aimed to examine the degree of inclusion of digital learning resources in social study textbooks in Jordan. A descriptive analytical approach was employed to analyze educational digital materials available on two websites affiliated with the Ministry of Education. The study focused on three fifth-grade social study textbooks, each corresponding to a chapter in the curriculum, which were selected for content analysis. The results revealed a high level of inclusivity for databases (25/23 branches), video clips (74/78), and image libraries (72) in social study books. These findings suggest that the integration of multimedia resources is a key aspect of modernizing educational materials in Jordan. The study recommends expanding the use of interactive digital tools, such as simulations and gamified content, to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. Furthermore, the study emphasizes the importance of continuous evaluation and updating of digital resources to ensure alignment with evolving educational standards and technological advancements.
