Effect of One-Minute Preceptor Training on Knowledge and Teaching Skills of Clinical Preceptors of Undergraduate Nursing Students
Clinical supervision is an important element of nursing education. To ensure safe practice, nurse preceptors provide mentorship and facilitate students' learning. One-minute preceptor (OMP) is a training model for preparing preceptors. We used a single-group pretest and posttest study design to evaluate the effectiveness of five OMP microskills in improving the knowledge and skills of preceptors. A significant difference was found in knowledge and teaching skills between pretest and posttest ( p < .001).
