Multiple Output Power Supply Utilizing Multi-Winding Transformers
This paper presents power quality improvement of a multiple output power supply exploring the combination of multiphase and phase-shift techniques based on a single active bridge converter. The primary windings of three single-phase transformers are powered by a three-phase inverter. Three output windings from each phase are connected in a way to provide three-phase systems for full-bridge rectifiers. The six-pulse rectified voltage is applied to the front-end of DC-DC converter. In comparison with the conventional converters, the simulation results demonstrate lower current ripple and better harmonics. In addition, the size of passive components such as filter capacitors and inductors can be decreased.
