Rotor Design Considering Demagnetization Characteristics of Ribless IPMSM for EV Propulsion
This paper analyzes the issues that may arise due to the increased air gap length resulting from the rotor sleeve structure in ribless interior permanent magnet synchronous motor(IPMSM), unlike in conventional IPMSM, using finite element method. It examines the electromagnetic parameters and irreversible demagnetization characteristics based on the air gap length. This paper focuses on the permeance coefficient(PC) and suggests a design approach for permanent magnets to address this issue.
