A Robust H∞ Control Strategy for Enhanced Performance of Multiphase PMSM

This paper proposes a <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathrm{H}_{\infty}$</tex> control scheme for the multiphase permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). The <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathrm{H}_{\infty}$</tex> scheme is designed through frequency domain indicators to significantly enhance the dynamic performance of the system and reduce its sensitivity to parameter perturbations. The comparison between the proposed control method and the traditional PI controller were conducted on a dual three-phase PMSM simulation. The results demonstrate that the proposed method has a faster dynamic and greater robustness, validating its effectiveness over the conventional approach.
