Theoretical study of the topological effect on the nonlinear optical properties of a dimethyldihydropyrene/cyclophanediene photoswitch

By integrating Hückel, Möbius, and t -Hückel topological configurations into a dimethyldihydropyrene/cyclophanediene molecular switch, we revealed that topology can regulate electronic states, nonlinear optical response and switching efficiency.
