Rethinking literary examples of digital literacy : Focusing on <Digital Samcheok Cultural Dictionary>

This study examined cases of appropriation of literary discourse through digital literacy and considered the problems that emerged. The subject of the study is <Digital Samcheok Cultural Dictionary>, which was completed in 2018. The modern literary field was established in Samcheok in the 1960s. In this regard, people who should be reconsidered include Kim Young-jun, Kim Jong-wook, and Lee Yun-ja. Dongye(『동예』) and Bulmoji(『불모지』) correspond to early literary media. Although these activities and media are talked about as the origins of the local literary field, there is a lack of detailed analysis on them. Errors are also found in the overview of writers and works that are considered canons of Samcheok modern literature. These include Jin In-tak, Choi In-hee, Hong Young-eui, and Park Jae-moon. It is a problem that the debut media and best works of writers who are treated as canon of local literary history are being revealed differently from what they actually are. Periodic renewal of the <Digital Samcheok Cultural Dictionary> is also a task. In particular, supplementation of content related to Lee Seong-gyo is urgently requested. Errors in various existing local sources should also be checked. Excellence in digital literacy is ultimately secured through complete content. This is a time when a complex approach and a methodology that will encourage regional and interdisciplinary collaboration are needed.
