RESEARCH ON THE EFFICIENCY OF HYDROGEN SULFIDE EMISSIONS SUPPRESSION WHEN QUENCHING BLAST FURNACE SLAG

The article researches into the effectiveness of different reagents used in blast furnace slag quenching to reduce hydrogen sulfide emissions. The main results of laboratory studies of the slag quenching process conducted at the Department of Metallurgical Technologies at different compositions of aqueous solutions are given. The results of changing the concentration of volatile sulfur compounds in the exhaust gases of the quenching chamber and the blast furnace slag composition are presented.
