The Actualization Patterns and The Poetic Effects of Dialogue Accepted in Saseol-Sijo
The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of the dramatic method of dialogue on the Saseol-Sijo. To this end, the actualization patterns and poetic effects of each type of dialogue were examined. The dialogue were realized in three types. And poetic effects are four types of visual effects: daily representation and weakening of idealism, changes in the distance between speech and audience, dramatic scene presentation and foregrounding of conflict, and the formation of laughter through reversal and distancing. These effects influenced the change in the genre character of the Saseol-Sijo. The significance of the acceptance of dialogue in Saseol-Sijo is that it may have been accompanied by a change in perception of the aesthetic form as it brings about a change from the traditional presentation method. This is because the new attempt of dialogue acceptance may be based on the perception that the poet may no longer be the leading subject of the work, and that the process of embodying it itself may be more important than the idea or subject of the poem.
