Stripe artifact mitigation in light sheet fluorescence microscopy with multiple light sheets generated by a micro-lens array
When employing light sheet fluorescence microscopy (LSFM) to capture fluorescence images in semi-transparent biological specimens, the image quality often degrades due to stripe artifacts caused by light-absorbing or light-scattering media inside the specimen. To address this issue, we conceived a novel approach, to the best of our knowledge, to utilize multiple light sheets generated via a micro-lens array. Comparative analysis with conventional LSFM images revealed a substantial mitigation in stripe artifacts, confirming the efficacy of our approach in enhancing image quality when utilizing multiple light sheets.
