Performance evaluation of manned and unmanned aircraft operation in integrated airspace
In this research, an integrated airspace scenario involving both manned and unmanned operations was modeled using AirTOP simulation software to evaluate airspace performance in terms of safety, efficiency, and workload. The results indicate a non-linear relationship between the proportion of drone operations and overall airspace efficiency. Specifically, when the drone ratio is between 0.1 and 0.2, the impact on airspace operations is minimal, resulting in optimal sector capacity. These findings offer valuable insights for the future safe and efficient integration of drones into non-segregated airspace.
