Study on location selection and route optimization of rural express distribution center

In order to improve the efficiency of rural express delivery and reduce the cost of rural express delivery, it is necessary to plan the construction of rural express delivery centers and rationally arrange the dist ribution route from the distribution center to the customer point. This paper proposes a distribution center location and route optimization model focused on cost minimization, comprehensively considering the number, location, and distance between the distribution centers and each customer point. The Harris Eagle algorithm is used to determine the optimal number and location of distribution centers, while optimizing the delivery route to customer points to minimize the total distribution costs and distribution time, thereby enhancing the overall efficiency of rural express distribution. Finally, a study's numerical simulation verifies that the model effectively addresses the location selection and route optimization problem, which is crucial for reducing rural express delivery costs and enhancing delivery efficiency.
