A Case Study of Similarity Solution for Unsteady Convective MHD Flow in a Porous Surface

The endeavor of this study is to investigate a case of the similarity solution for unsteady convective MHD flow in a porous surface, Using Boussinesq approximation a mathematical model has been developed for momentum, energy and concentration including the effects of porosity, convection, heat and mass transfer in the boundary layer flow. The governing equations are reduced to a dimensionless form involving similarity transformation, assisting efficient analysis. Then, a system of ordinary differential equations (ODEs) has been reduced from the governing equations and solved numerically by means of shooting method along with MATLAB software. The numerical solutions demonstrate the effects of most essential parameters notably magnetic parameter, Prandtl number, Schmidt number, Eckert number, buoyancy ratio, suction or injunction parameter, Soret number and inclination angle are examined on the behavior of the displayed velocity, thermal and mass distribution. Moreover, numerical result included for various substantial parameters such as the heat and mass transfer as well as skin friction coefficient. The local skin friction increases 3% ,1.6%, 0.03% and 56% by the raising values of the Eckert number (0.7-5), Prandtl number (0.71-10), Soret number (1.5-10), and unsteadiness parameter (1.5.-3) but decreases 57% for the angle inclination (30-70), 43% for suction parameter (0.5-1.5), 19% for magnetic parameter(0.5-5) and 6% for Schmidt number (0.22-10).This study will be extremely significant for aerodynamics, elementary soil mechanics, geothermal extraction, oil and gas management system.
