Morphofunctional prerequisites for differentiated physical education of junior grades students
The desire to improve the quality of teaching physical education to schoolchildren based on a differentiated approach is one of the areas of education reform in the New Ukrainian School. Differentiation is based on taking into account the individual capabilities of groups of students of the same class and sex homogeneous in terms of their morphofunctional state. The aim of the study was to substantiate the possibility of using a differentiated approach during physical education lessons for junior grades students. Materials and methods. The study involved 6-8-year-old students of general education institutions. The selection of this age group was driven by the high prevalence of health conditions (over 30 %) among the students already in the 1st grade. Methods included: pedagogical testing of the level of manifestation of physical abilities, anthropometry, physiological testing, statistical sampling method. Conclusions: a trend of decline in cardiovascular function in terms of diastolic blood pressure, significant intra-sex variation in body weight in both boys and girls; significant variability in the manifestation of the main physical abilities were revealed in students, which requires the use of a differentiated approach in physical education classes.
