Improving speed and strength abilities in female students of higher education institutions engaged in the “recreational volleyball” section by means of fitness technologies

The article considers the importance of training sessions in the recreational volleyball section in higher education institutions. The aim of the work was to develop a methodology for the targeted development of speed and strength abilities as an important element of physical training for applicants for the first (bachelors) level of higher education in training sessions in the recreational volleyball section. An analysis of specialized literature on the concept of speed and strength abilities was carried out. The study was attended by 30 female students from 1-2 years who attended physical education classes in the "Recreational Volleyball" section. We assessed speed and strength abilities based on the results of 10 tests. The experiment lasted 1 semester, and the frequency of classes was 2 times a week. At the formative stage, the developed methodology was introduced into the educational and training process, that is, in addition to the complexes of athletics exercises, complexes of exercises with slamball (medicine ball) were introduced to increase speed and strength abilities using volleyball, which are similar in their motor structure and the nature of neuromuscular efforts and are as close as possible to the game actions of volleyball players. Conclusions. The conducted pedagogical experiment and the presented results of the research of the increase of high-speed and power abilities of applicants for higher education, gave the chance to define the efficiency of the use of modern technologies of physical recreation. It is noted that the complexes of exercises with slam-ball, It is noted that the complexes of exercises with slam-ball, selected by the motor structure and the nature of neuromuscular efforts, are as close as possible to the game actions of volleyball players. A variety of exercises with stuffed balls provide selective influence on separate groups of muscles and systems of an organism, allow to dose and regulate physical activity precisely.
