HEALTH-PRESERVING ORIENTATION OF THE PHYSICAL TRAINING PROCESS OF YOUNG VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS

Modern volleyball requires players to maximize their motor qualities, willpower, and ability to apply acquired skills. The development of motor skills and game techniques is closely linked to the improvement of physical abilities. Physical preparation is essential reducing the risk of injury and improving players’ strength, endurance, speed and responsiveness, enabling them to reach their full potential on the court. The purpose of the study is to explore methods for optimizing the physical training process of young volleyball players in order to preserve their health and enable the fullest realization of their individual potential during the final stages of long-term sports development. The research methodology includes the analysis and synthesis of scientific and methodological literature, as well as program documents. Good physical preparation for volleyball involves a diverse combination of exercises and techniques designed to strengthen the specific muscles used in the sport, enhance cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, improve reaction speed, and promote movement coordination. Volleyball players face a range of unique physical challenges, including the intense repetition of jumps throughout a match. Injuries and health issues may occasionally arise. For volleyball players, the most common pathological conditions occur in the shoulder, knee, and ankle joints. To minimize such issues, volleyball players should consistently perform specialized exercises to strengthen the ligaments and muscles of the aforementioned joints. The challenge of improper training loads for young volleyball players at the early stages of long-term athletic development is becoming more significant. There is a conflict between early sports specialization, increased training and competition demands, and the limited functional capacities of young athletes, who need considerable energy for their growth and development. It should consider the risk factors for sports injuries and the importance of their prevention.
