DESIGNING FOR SUSTAINABILITY: ENERGY-EFFICIENT BUILDING SOLUTIONS
The design of a building influences how it interacts with things around it like sunlight, wind, light and rain. Before machines and factories, buildings fit well with their surroundings. The industrial age changed architecture by moving away from keeping the environment comfortable naturally and depending more on machines. Recent energy problems have made people rethink traditional building designs, resulting in the development of eco friendly architecture, including designs that save energy. Energy-efficient buildings try to use less energy and have less impact on the environment. They do this by improving how industries work, using renewable energy sources like solar and wind and making smart changes to building materials.
