Mindfulness‐based group treatment benefits buprenorphine patients

A randomized trial comprising 196 adults receiving buprenorphine for opioid use disorder (OUD) has found that use of a mindfulness‐based group treatment offered some benefit relative to other evidence‐based recovery supports. Participants in the tailored curriculum exhibited less opioid craving, though their opioid use outcomes did not differ significantly from those of the other study participants.
