The Role of AI in Shaping Organizational Culture in Educational Institutions: Motivating Educators and Students

This research examines the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on organizational culture development in higher education institutions, specifically its impact on educator motivation and institutional change. A quantitative research design was used, where data were collected from 140 Heads of Departments (HODs) of university departments using a self-administered survey questionnaire. Correlation analysis identified a strong positive correlation (r = 0.648, p < 0.01) between adoption of AI and teacher motivation, capturing the way in which AI tools support teaching quality with less bureaucratic burdens. Regression analysis (R² = 0.017, p = 0.128) determined that AI cannot be considered an effective predictor of teacher motivation, capturing the presence of institutional policy, administrative support, and faculty development. The research identifies that strategic alignment of artificial intelligence, employee training, and ethical deployment are most imperative to achieve its potential in higher education. Longitudinal studies and targeted applications of artificial intelligence must be explored by future work to learn their long-term effects on learning cultures.
