The Effect of Cultivation Technology on the Content of Micronutrients in Peas

The study was conducted to assess the level of accumulation of copper, zinc, manganese, cobalt, and iron in peas using various cultivation technologies. The work was carried out in 2020–2023 on typical chernozem of Kursk oblast. Four pea-cultivation agrotechnologies were studied based on various methods of basic tillage; specifically, traditional, differentiated, and minimal technologies and “no-till” (direct drilling). The copper content was the highest in the roots with minimal technology (13.37 mg/kg) and in straw and seeds with direct drilling (6.16 and 5.74 mg/kg, respectively). The maximum amount of zinc in the roots was provided by traditional technology and direct drilling (34.10 and 34.63 mg/kg), by differentiated technology in straw (13.35 mg/kg), and by traditional and differentiated technologies in seeds (28.06 and 28.86 mg/kg, respectively). The highest content of manganese in the roots was with differentiated technology (369.95 mg/kg) and with direct drilling in straw and seeds (68.11 and 55.3 mg/kg, respectively). The maximum amount of cobalt in the roots was observed with direct drilling (7.05 mg/kg), with differentiated technology in straw (4.44 mg/kg), and with minimal technology and direct drilling in seeds (3.51 mg/kg). The iron content in the roots did not differ significantly from traditional and minimal technologies or direct drilling, while it decreased by 16.3…26 mg/kg with differentiated. In pea straw, the lowest amount of iron was found with differentiated technology (270.27 mg/kg). The highest concentration of iron in the seeds (135.7 mg/kg) was noted during direct drilling. The biological absorption coefficient (BAC) of micronutrients by seeds was higher than by roots and straw. The highest values of BAC of copper (24.33), manganese (27.68), cobalt (12.14), and iron (9.19) were noted with direct drilling and that of zinc, with differentiated (28.36) and minimal (28.31) technologies.
