The Overlooked Epidemic
In this issue of CHEST Pulmonary, the article “Association of Communication with Smoking Attitudes and Behaviors among Patients Undergoing Lung Cancer Screening: A Longitudinal Cohort Study”1 brings to light very important points about the approach to smoking cessation for patients undergoing lung cancer screening, but ultimately notes that physician communication alone is not enough and that there are missed opportunities. This article adds valuable information to the existing literature.
