UMA ANÁLISE FONÉTICO-FONOLÓGICA: DIFERENÇAS SOCIOLINGUÍSTICAS NOS MUNICÍPIOS DE VIGIA DE NAZARÉ/PA E SÃO CAETANO DE ODIVELAS/PA

This research aimed to find out how the language behaves within a context of variation, considering the locality factor. The study was based on field research in the municipalities of Vigia/PA and São Caetano de Odivelas/PA, and used the Phonological Phonetic Questionnaire, from the Linguistic Atlas of Brazil (ALIB, 2001). As a theoretical contribution, we are anchored in the precepts of Bagno (2010), Bechara (2009), Silva (2017), Bortoni-Ricardo (2004), among others that enriched the discussion. The results demonstrated the importance of considering the different phenomena present in the language, since it does not only include writing, but orality as a substantial tool for linguistic evolution, variation and maintenance.
