Research on ecological protection and restoration in Ruoergai County based on ecosystem service function assessment

In order to ensure the health and sustainable development of the alpine wetland grassland in Ruoergai County, we have constructed an ecosystem service function assessment system based on ecosystem service importance assessment and ecological sensitivity analysis, utilizing spatial analysis methods to quantify the value of ecosystem services in the Ruoergai grassland, and proposing corresponding protection countermeasures. The results of the study showed that the overall ecosystem service importance of Ruoergai County was high, with 81 % of the areas rated as moderately important or above. At the same time, the ecological sensitivity of the county is generally high, with 83.64 % of the areas reaching or exceeding the more sensitive level, and the geographic distribution is characterized by a high east and a low west. In view of this, we urgently need to carry out ecological protection and restoration of grasslands, and promote the process of integrated protection and restoration of mountains, water, forests, fields, lakes, grasses, sand and ice. In view of the current ecological problems, we have studied and proposed relevant protection and restoration measures, aiming to provide valuable decision-making references for regional territorial spatial planning and ecological restoration work.
