139P Prognostic factors for recurrence and survival outcomes in giant cell tumors of bone: A retrospective study at the Instituto Nacional de Cancerología, Mexico
Giant Cell Tumor of Bone (GCTB) is a locally aggressive, typically benign tumor that affects individuals aged 20 to 40, predominantly females. It is mainly located in the distal femur and proximal tibia, with a 22% recurrence rate and a low metastasis rate (1-9%). Surgical management, including intralesional curettage or wide resection, is the primary treatment. Denosumab has been noted to influence recurrence rates.
