Surgical management of leg injuries by firearms in a context of polytrauma at the military hospital of the third defence zone of kisangani ; a technically under-equipped hospital environment. About a clinical case.

This module presents the case of a leg injured by a firearm admitted and treated at the military hospital of the third defense zone of Kisangani, a technically under-equipped military health structure. This patient was received in a state of hemorrhagic shock in a context of multiple traumas and had received emergency resuscitation and surgical repair. From this observation, we wanted to identify the strategies implemented by the surgical and resuscitation teams in terms of diagnostic and therapeutic care, in order to thus propose coherent decision trees adapted to the organization of care in Kisangani in general and in this military health structure in particular; when technical and financial resources are limiSted. This article will allow us to show the eyes of the intellectual world in which precarious conditions we are sometimes called upon to work in order to save the lives of our compatrits with little technical and financial means but sometimes obtaining satisfactory results upon return.
