The article analyzes the relevance of using the textbook "Fundamentals of socio-psychological theory" in professional education. The authors emphasize that the textbook in question, being supplemented with modern scientific material, can be used to study modern social psychology. The main task of the jubilee book remains relevant - to help students understand the complex variety of socio-psychological processes, phenomena and phenomena. During the period of socio-social transformations, the Fundamentals of Socio-Psychological Theory not only described the theory and methodology of its application in the educational process, but also became an indispensable practical guide for citizens in the field of professional activity related to the psychology of society. The authors of the article analyze the structure of the manual in question, and note that its release served as an impulse to such a popular and productive direction in modern domestic social psychology as metacognitivism.
