A INFLUÊNCIA NA SAÚDE MENTAL DAS MULHERES AO CONVIVER COM A ENDOMETRIOSE
Endometriosis is a chronic gynecological condition that significantly affects women's mental health. This article aimed to investigate the influence of endometriosis on the mental health of women with this pathology, addressing the relationship between chronic pain, fertility difficulties, and the emotional challenges faced by patients. The research was conducted through a narrative review of the literature, analyzing relevant studies that evidenced the correlation between the intensity of symptoms and increased levels of anxiety and depression. The results showed that women with endometriosis presented a significant deterioration in their emotional well-being, with a direct impact on their quality of life. The importance of a multidisciplinary approach in the treatment of endometriosis was also highlighted, with the need for adequate psychological support to mitigate the adverse effects on mental health. In view of this, the need for multidisciplinary treatment, with an emphasis on psychological support to mitigate the adverse impacts, was highlighted. The ongoing training of health professionals should include education on the psychosocial implications of endometriosis, promoting an empathetic and humanized approach. Initiatives such as telemedicine and advances in imaging techniques could improve early diagnosis and symptom monitoring, contributing to more integrated and effective care in the future.
