A Unified Approach for Selection of Optimal Relay Node in Cooperative Communication Environments
Cooperative Communication Network (CCNs) is regarded as a critical technology for next generation environments. Intermediate relay nodes are assigned for end-to-end transmission between the source node and the destination node, making the data transfer easier. One of the primary factors that enhances the performance of cooperative communication is relay node selection. Thus, in this paper, we have focused a Multi Objective Optimization (MOO) Algorithm for optimal relay node section in multi-user cooperative communication network. With the help of this method, first objective function based on Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR), second objective function based on gain of channel, and third objective function based on total transmitted power are created to select the best relay nodes. The Lion Optimization Algorithm (LOA) which is based on MOO algorithm runs with these objective functions and chooses the optimal node for relay. The simulation's results of output demonstrate the proposed approach's efficiency assessment in terms of SNR, overall throughput, delay in transmission, network lifetime, and energy consumption.
