Harmonic Reduction and Power Quality Improvement in Hybrid AC-DC Microgrid Using Bi-Directional Converter with Dynamic Decoupling and Neuro-Fuzzy Control
Hybrid AC-DC microgrids, which combine AC and DC renewable energy sources, face challenges in synchronization, voltage stability, harmonic suppression, and power flow control due to nonlinear disturbances and grid voltage distortions. This research proposes a novel solution, the Dynamic Quadrature Decoupling and Phase locking system (DQD-PLL), which enhances synchronization by eliminating harmonic distortions and improving the performance of AC/DC converters. Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) is integrated into the operation of the BID AC-DC converter. A Neuro-Fuzzy Recurrent Q-Learning Adaptive controller is integrated to optimize power flow control between AC and DC subgrids. The system has been simulated using MATLAB and demonstrated its effectiveness, improving efficiency, accuracy, and resilience in dynamic environments.
