Financial Dynamics of Renewable Energy Integration in Manufacturing: A Comprehensive Model

This study explores the financial dynamics involved in integrating renewable energy sources within the manufacturing sector, focusing specifically on the financial barriers to adopting solar energy. Using Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM), the research analyzes the interconnections between financial and technical challenges in implementing solar energy systems. The findings identify several significant barriers to solar energy adoption, including high upfront costs, limited energy storage solutions, and inadequate project financing. These issues, along with high integration costs, unpredictable future energy prices, and a lack of supportive government incentives, contribute to a reluctance to invest in solar energy infrastructure. Although the study effectively outlines these key obstacles, it does not offer specific strategies to mitigate them. Therefore, developing comprehensive policy frameworks and fostering technological innovations is crucial for overcoming these challenges and facilitating the integration of solar energy into the energy grid.
