MARIE-S04: Sub-Millimeter Localization with Minimum Infrastructure
This scientific paper is an outcome of the MARIE project (for more information, see trrmarie.de) (S04). Within MARIE, the S04 project focuses on achieving sub-millimeter (sub-mm) localization accuracy with minimal chipless infrastructure, a vital factor for enabling precise synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). In Phase I, S04 proposed a THz-based localization system for stationary objects, achieving sub-mm indoor localization accuracy. Phase II extended this capability to dynamic objects with minimal chipless infrastructure, enabling sub-mm localization indoor localization and tracking. Phase III aims to extend the work done in the previous two phases to enable dynamic indoor and outdoor environments with minimal chipless infrastructure.
