La enseñanza de las artes visuales en el desarrollo de las inteligencias múltiples en alumnos de secundaria

This study analyzes how the teaching of visual arts at the secondary level contributes to the development of multiple intelligences, based on Howard Gardner's theory. It proposes that art not only fosters visual-spatial intelligence but also strengthens other intelligences, such as logical-mathematical, naturalistic, musical, bodily, intrapersonal, and interpersonal intelligences. The research uses a mixed approach, combining qualitative observation and quantitative analysis through artistic exercises in a sample of 110 secondary school students. The exercises included visual representations of emotions, geometric figures, three-dimensional figures, nature, and music, with results showing a positive impact on various intelligences. The study concludes that visual arts education favors the development of multiple intelligences, including critical thinking, creativity, and self-expression. It is recommended that artistic strategies be integrated into the educational curriculum and that art-based education be promoted as an essential pedagogical resource for students' comprehensive development.
