Real-World Implementations: Case Studies of Blockchain Revolutionizing Supply Chain Finance

Blockchain is the latest technology that has proved to be disruptive and one of the most revolutionary changes across various industries, including supply chain finance. This paper aims to include a series of case studies to provide a real-life approach towards examining the application of the blockchain in supply chain finance. Organizations are now changing the conventional supply chain finance methods such as transaction handling, cost, risks, and its affirmation in the form of decentralisation with transparency via use of blockchain. It was found that the proposed system reduces the time taken to process the high volume of transactions, saves a lot of costs, minimizes the incidents of recourse to law and fraud, and improves stakeholder satisfaction. Besides, the abstract enunciates the prospect for the future research that will explore future trends of the blockchain in supply chain finance such as scalability, standardization, compliance to regulation, and technological advancement that will assist in fully harnessing the potential of blockchain in supply chain finance across the globe. In sum, this paper demonstrates how the concept of blockchain in supply chain finance improves efficiency, visibility, and cooperation and underlines the further development of this digital concept in complex supply chains.
