Study and bibliometric analysis of the nucleoside-lowering function of lactobacilli in Tibetan kefir grains

Hyperuricemia is a metabolic disorder characterized by excessive levels of uric acid, and primary HUA is mainly caused by inborn abnormalities of purine metabolism, and the development of probiotics that effectively degrade purine nucleosides is a potential therapy for the prevention of hyperuricemia. The present study based on high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was aimed to determine the ability of Lactobacillus spp. in Tibetan kefir grains to degrade purine nucleosides. In order to improve the survival rate of lactobacilli to reach the intestinal tract, intestinal-targeted release composite probiotic microcapsules were prepared, and the release level of microcapsules in the gastrointestinal tract was evaluated. Meanwhile, data analysis and visualization of the literature related to the effect of probiotics on hyperuricemia were carried out using bioinformatics methods. The results showed that lactobacilli in Tibetan Kaifel pellets had better inosine, guanosine and adenosine degradation ability, and the composite probiotic microcapsules had a survival rate of more than 98% in gastric fluids, with almost no release, but 98% release in intestinal fluids, which could be targeted to the intestinal tract for release. This study investigated the current status of lactobacilli in hyperuricemia and gout using bibliometric methods to provide reference for researchers and to support future research on lactobacilli in kefir grains.
