INFLUENCE OF DIFFERENT TYPES OF PLACENTA PREVIA ON MATERNAL AND NEONATAL OUTCOMES - A RETROSPECTIVE COHORT STUDY OVER THREE YEARS.
Placenta previa, a signicant obstetric complication, occurs when the placenta abnormally implants in the lower uterine segment, partially or completely covering the cervix. It is classied into complete and lowlying placenta previa, depending on the degree of cervical coverage. This condition is associated with severe antepartum hemorrhage, preterm birth, and increased maternal and neonatal morbidity, necessitating careful obstetric management to reduce adverse outcomes.
