Adaptive Linear Interpolation Algorithm for 2D DICOM Multiple Skull Images
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Computed Tomography (CT) technologies produce singlechannel pictures of the skull In the present work, a marching cube algorithm has been proposed for extracting skull images and converting from 2D into 3D by applying adaptive thresholding and contour mapping for Biomedical applications. By using an adaptive linear interpolating algorithm, the images from the dataset were able to detect the contours of the skull images and a good agreement in the contour detection were observed after the 3D reconstruction of skull DiCOM images.
