AuthEZ: A Multifaceted Identity Provider Service using Facial, Voice, and In-App Authentication
This research paper introduces an innovative pass-wordless authentication system to address the limitations of traditional username and password methods, often prone to security vulnerabilities. In contrast, the Identity Provider (IdP), AuthEZ, leverages facial verification, voice verification, and in-app authentication techniques. AuthEZ provides a robust yet convenient means of identity verification. Facial verification utilizes the Facenet model and voice verification employs the Resemblyzer to distil voice characteristics into concise summary vectors for robust authentication. Additionally, a liveness check is employed in the facial verification process to ensure real-time verification of the user. In-app verification, suitable for legacy devices, employs public key cryptography and RSA digital signatures through QR codes. This multifaceted approach offers a secure and user-friendly authentication solution, poised to redefine conventional methods. Developers can seamlessly integrate these services into web applications, enhancing user experience and data protection. AuthEZ contributes to advancing authentication methods by providing a comprehensive solution that balances security and usability, paving the way for broader adoption in various contexts.
