Integrated Online Localization and Navigation device with Voice Assistive and Vision Sensing for the Visually Impaired

Living with vision loss has several difficulties, particularly when it comes to independently exploring new places. In a world where independence is of utmost importance, Smart Cane stands out as a symbol of innovation and empowerment for the community of the visually aided. The canes which are being used by people presently are primitive and don’t offer help with respect to object detection and other modern features. The challenges that are invoked for the blind in real life are minimized with the usage of the smart stick which is a ground breaking Arduino based research with a lot of necessary features. This Research integrates voice assistance, object detection and emergency alert which supportsthe mobility of a person with vision loss and also enhances his/her safety. This Research employs ultrasonic sensors for object detection, microcontrollers such as Arduino and MP3module for pre - defined voice generation which helps in giving cues and directions for a person using it. The module helps to give feedback and directions for the users using speakers. Using GSM module, one could easily be addressed at the time of an emergency. The GSM module helps to send quick alerts in case of emergency using just apress of the push button.
