Smart Water Quality Detector Using Arduino

In this article, we present the Smart Water Tap Cap—a useful tool that measures the amount of water consumed in liters, the number of times the tap has been opened, the water's temperature, pH, TDS (Total Dissolved Solids), and bleach value. The parameters described above are measured using thermocouple sensors, water flow, pH, bleach, and TDS. The aforementioned sensors will be fastened to and placed inside a little construction that resembles a cap. A mobile device can be connected via an OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) display or a Bluetooth module to view the readings. This device's water flow sensor is based on the Hall Effect theory. It contains a turbine, and when the turbine rotates, a sensor inside the device generates square waves, which are used to gauge how quickly water flows through the device. A controller will operate and control each of the aforementioned sensors, and the appropriate embedded programming will be added.
