Description of a new flightless species of Rismethus Fleutiaux from China (Coleoptera: Elateridae: Agrypninae)

A new flightless click-beetle species, Rismethus jiangi sp. nov., is described from Zhejiang and Anhui Provinces, China. It is similar to Rismethus ryukyuensis Ôhira in its stout body and absence of hind wings, but can be distinguished by its light coloration, the sharper spines on the hind angles of pronotum, as well as more acute of the widest part of metacoxal plate. The diagnostic characters of the new species are illustrated, and key to the Rismethus species from China is provided.
