The Role of Machine Learning and Data Science in Enhancing Cybersecurity for Power Systems
The growing digitalization of power systems has increased their exposure to cyber threats, putting global infrastructure at risk. This paper explores how Machine Learning (ML) and Data Science (DS) can strengthen cybersecurity in power systems. Our research shows that integrating ML and DS can significantly enhance the detection and prevention of cyberattacks, leading to more resilient power infrastructure. We propose a framework that combines predictive analytics with real-time monitoring to tackle these challenges. By studying previous cyber incidents, we validate the effectiveness of our approach. This work provides practical insights and outlines future research directions in power system cybersecurity.
