An IoT Based Smart Eco-Meter with Real-Time Energy Monitoring System

In recent decades, consumers have lacked the ability to control and monitor power consumption by individual appliances. Hence the electrical power consumed by all individual appliances must be measured, controlled and monitored by the end user. An accurate power measurement cant be achieved by using a conventional type of energy meter. To address this problem, we propose a system that eliminates manpower by self-regulating meter readings and bill generation reducing the errors which are one of the major causes of energy-related corruption. By using the implementation and design of an Internet of Things (IoT), the above problems can be minimized. It is a cost-effective, minimalistic, transparency and efficient. The smart eco-energy meter will measure the individual unit power consumption of the appliances. They provide accurate readings, eliminating the need for manual meter reading and reducing errors. It also sends notifications when it reaches the maximum load. We can easily track our power consumption, and further consumers can easily pay their bills through net banking. Billing becomes automated, reducing paperwork and minimizing corruption. Additionally, consumers can remotely control household loads. This project aims to address these limitations by leveraging the Internet of Things (IoT) to create a smart energy management system.
