Efficient Energy Management System of Grid Connected wind-PV based EV Charging Station Using Novel Aggregated Control Method
Emerging technologies are more and more adopting Electric Vehicles (EVs) as the demand for EVs rises. The charging procedure of EVs plays a vital role when they are linked to the grid. Electric vehicles can usually be charged at charging station or home linked to the grid. The presence of Power electronic converters in EV charging port stations (CPSs) contributes to an increase in harmonics and nonlinear currents being introduced into the grid during the charging process, which may have implications for Power quality. Furthermore, the utility grid may experience peak load demand that does not align with the total Power generation demand. In these situations, providing Power to the grid from vehicle batteries via the CPS can present a feasible solution, particularly when grid demand is lower. Furthermore, the peak load demand on the utility grid may not consistently align with the overall demand for Power generation. In these situations, providing Power to the utility grid from the batteries used in vehicle via the CPS can present a feasible solution, particularly when demand on the grid is lower. The utilization of a combined controller is suggested in this paper to improve performance and uphold Power quality at the load bus. Furthermore, deloading requirements are combined with sustainable energy sources in the event of being disconnected from the main Power grid to maintain a stable Power supply. The article showcases comprehensive results obtained through Hardware-in-the-Loop testing with OPAL-RT modules.
