High-speed beamforming concepts for THz frequencies
This scientific paper is an outcome of the MARIE (for more information see trrmarie.de) project S01. The project S01 provides high-speed beamsteering concepts for THz radiation which is needed for almost all THz applications because of the high free-space loss. The central question of S01 is therefore to explore and to develop new concepts and circuits which allow to steer THz radiation into the desired direction. This includes solutions which allow (optical and electronic) integration so that small and cost-effective THz transceivers become reality. Both, concepts for passive and active high-speed beamforming are explored.
