Optymizm apokaliptyczny i nadzieja radykalna
The author considers the question of what attitude we should adopt in the face of growing chaos, increasing tensions, and catastrophic phenomena, both natural and observed in human societies. He introduces the concepts of apocalyptic optimism and radical hope to help us formulate an outline of the answer. Apocalyptic optimism attempts to conceive of the future on the assumption that catastrophic events will occur. Radical hope defines an attitude toward a future we do not really know. Keywords: apocalyptic optimism, radical hope, future, ethical stance, Jonathan Lear
