IOT Revolutionizing The Energy Sector: A Comprehensive Overview
There is no doubt that energy use management, as well as the anchoring of renewable sources of energy, combines to automatically allow the green energy transformations and relief to climate change. Internet of Things, for example, allows the new technologies in the energy sector that shall acquire various applications in the future. These applications are generalizing the adjustment of energy supply, trade, and delivery needs. In addition, the demonstration state of things combines the Internet of Things to help adjust in the effort to minimize the negative impact of energy use and increase the proportion of green control respectively; energy efficiency. This paper reviews the literature on the application of IoT to the energy system in general and, in particular, to smart electrical grids. We shall further consider additional information analysis tools including cloud-based IoT tools and software. We shall also look at obstacles or challenges that the energy sector faces when using IoT, such as security and privacy, all of which can be resolved with the help of blockchain technology. This review will provide the management, energy researchers, and managers with an overview of the relevance of IoT in the efficiency of the energy system. Internet of Things (IoT) is redefining the energy sector as it enables the monitoring, control, and optimization of energy production, distribution, and consumption. IoT devices, such as smart meters, sensors, and connected appliances, enable real-time data collection and analysis, resulting in improved energy efficiency and sustainability. In power generation, IoT technologies enable predictive maintenance, reducing downtime and operational costs.
