Augmented Furniture: Enhancing Online Shopping with AR and 3D Visualization
This paper presents the integration of Augmented Reality (AR) and 3D product visualization to improve the online furniture shopping experience. The platform leverages ARCore, ARKit, and Three.js to allow users to place virtual furniture in their real-world environments. A usability study involving 10 participants demonstrated that the AR and 3D viewers enhanced user satisfaction and purchasing confidence. By focusing on cross-platform compatibility, this solution addresses common challenges in mobile e-commerce, such as uncertainty about fit and style.
