Xumuavikari náayarite. Transformación y actividades de los tiznados de la Semana Santa cora de Nayarit
Drawing on an ethnographic study in Mesa del Nayar, Nayarit, this article explores the yearlong transformation of the tiznados, the main organizers of Holy Week or the Náayari (Cora) Judea, and their role during the festivity. It analyzes how different creations meld together in the same ritual, specifically, the death and resurrection of Christ (Christ-Sun for the Cora people), the birth of Christianity; and Genesis, which represents the origin of the universe in Catholicism and the creation of the world according to the Náayarite.
