High framerate FD-fNIRS for auditory-inspired speech hemodynamic response function
Data preprocessing in functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) incorporates down-sampling to attenuate extraneous noise following band-pass filtration. However, elevated sampling rates have the potential to capture more nuanced fluctuations in the hemodynamic response function, provided that the experimental design and data preprocessing protocols are appropriately optimized. This work provides evidence that high sampling frequencies (40Hz) provides comparable performance as compared to lower sampling rates (1 Hz) in the context of auditory stimulation paradigms.
